Sheikh Ali Al-Tantawi; A famous Islamic intellectual. (His preaching contributions and literary efforts)

Abstract

Sheikh Ali Al-Tantawi is one of the prominent figures of Islamic preachers of the Islamic world and Arab literature in the twentieth century. He is a great Islamic writer and an outstanding jurist, a famous journalist and a peculiar writer. He is a working scholar, who is very humble for everyone, especially in the field of preaching with his wisdom and intellectuality. He is regarded as a mobile encyclopedia and he left a great impact on people and contributed to solving their problems through his writing, letters and speeches. He dealt with issues and problems with his wisdom, moderation, and wonderful style, and explain the rules of Islam and the viewpoint of the diligent scholars of Sharia about issues, rules and fatwas.

His efforts encompass the fields of reform in all its legislative, advocacy, jurisprudential, educational, political and social aspects, as well as making Arabic language as respectful, the language of the Holy Qur’an, and confronting its enemies. He had a unique, beautiful, attractive, simple style. He was famous for his broad horizon, his frequent travels, spontaneity and his strong memory, and therefore his judgments are characterized by the character of moderation, far from excess and negligence. He is a star of enlightenment, and he has a prominent role in calling to Allah, guiding people to the path of truth, and reforming society.
