The Law infiltrates every area of our lives, from accepting terms and conditions while downloading an app to withdrawing our money from an ATM, understating law language in mother tongue needs its translation, and the precise translation of legal texts has become highly momentous Therefore, translation in legal sectors and law firms is on the rise. Law language and its profession have opportunities and challenges, legal translation is a field which is essential to study in it because translators face tangible challenges while translating legal texts, legal texts create predicament and defies in translation. legal language needs experienced translators, who have a strong clutch in decoding complex legal texts.
The paper will focus on issues and challenges in Arabic and English legal text translation. The aim of this paper is to show some legal concepts and terms which are not readily translatable into the target language. A translator is the one who finds the meeting point between the two legal languages. The paper will point out the significance of performing a specialized translation, which is one of the leading elements to be considered when discussing the language of the law, the study will investigate the characteristics of the legal writings, how the translator can translate in better quality.
