Relation of Equality Between Female & Male and Guardianship of Man: A Quranic Perspective

Abstract

With the commencement of Islam, trends of ignorance were demolished and women along with men were granted their due rights considering their different places and relations. According to the Holy Quran, women in many aspects are declared equal to men as there are differences mentioned in this regard; for they both are different in nature and instinct so the difference between them is not illogical rather it is logical and according to the nature. The recent study is an endure to find out the aspects of equality between women and men shedding light on qawwamiyyat(guardianship) of man. Six points of equality between male and female are discussed. These six points between these two genders are humanity, equality in rights and  obligation, equality in ownership and earning, equality in responsibility and equality in limits(punishment), equality in Li’aan process. As far as the different point between them is concerned, that is the guardianship and responsibility to provide all the requirements and needs for women.
