Abstract

An epidemic is a particular contagious disease which spreads and effects from individual to others at large quickly, like flu, yellow fever etc. Similarly, pandemic is also a widespread infectious disease that affects millions of people such as an entire country or continent or even at global level. The epidemics are considered as a transmittable disease and have not only pushed humans to the brink of disaster. Outbreaks appear to be exacerbated during this time Rather; economies envelop educational institutions, tourist destinations, etc. A long list can be created on an evolutionary review of significant Arabic literature on epidemic and pandemic. Almost one hundred sixty-five books are written only in Arabic language. Most of these books in early era are unpublished and extent in manuscript form. The entire literature is very important and valuable in respect of acquiring guidance for future and present times. In this article a rigorous effort has been made in collecting significant number of Arabic books on the subject.
