Abstract

In today’s globalized era everything become very fast and advanced and through information technology it is very easy to criticize someone without realizing the fact that it may hurts someone’s emotions or religious thoughts and values.it is true that every person has a right that he or she can follow and persue any religion and any sect and also the last prophet hazrat Muhammad (p.b.u.h) who was the messenger of equality and peace he tought through his divine guidance that there is no compulsion on someone to choose to follow any religion. But keeping in mind that no one have any right to wound religious emotion of anyone. Islam thought in Quran that don’t discriminate between any of the prophets and don’t say bad things to any other prophet or religion.but nowadays it is coming to see that people specially in west are easily defaming hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) through different ways sometimes In the form of cartoons and sometimes through blasphemy, every time muslims countries start protesting against them and muslims make some demands such as to ban their products or to exile their ambassador, and the specific country give clearer answer that everyone has freedom of speech and expression and no one can be stopped from expressing their opinions as it is their basuc right. So in this article, we would explore some very famous and internationally applied documents regarding freedom of speech.we will have a look of such documents.after taking an analysis of those documents it is concluded that although these documents have told that everyone can express their opinions but without hurting someone and also they added a word of religion I those documents but it is realized that did not consider religion as a major factor while making documents. And they could not be able to define the word religion. we will also present  cairo declaration of human rights which was presented as the result of UN declarations of human rights. It is purely based on Islamic point of view. And after that we compared both documents and we concluded that cairo declaration of human rights is much better for establishing a peaceful society. On the other hand UN and other major declarations and charters have no ability to make peace in a society.
